They always say that working students are a different “breed” of people. They are often admired for their grit and determination to juggle work and study. Their success is also made sweeter because it’s fueled by passion and hard work.

On TikTok, Nathaniel Regondola gave netizens a sneak peek of how hard it was to be a working student. Aside from being a student at Araullo University, Nathaniel and his brother take turns selling lumpia. They also sell turon, fish crackers, and even ice candy inside their school campus.

In the video, Nathaniel can be seen still wearing his school ID as he sits down holding his container of lumpia. Despite the strong rain pouring outside, Nathaniel felt grateful because he was able to sell all his goods for the day.

“Okay lang kahit inabutan ng ulan. Ang mahalaga ay nakaubos ako. Hehe. Salamat kay God,” he wrote in the caption.

In a separate video, Nathaniel revealed he and his older brother take turns selling.

“Nagtutulungan kami ng kuya ko para makaubos. Palitan kami kung sino ang may klase,” he added.

Even more impressive, Nathaniel also spends his nights selling “balot.” He said he has been selling balot since he was an elementary student. Nathaniel said he has been working, so he doesn’t have to ask for money from his mother for his daily expenses and allowance.
