A strict dad had previously told his daughter to never set foot in their house if she gets pregnant. But when she actually did, he called her up and showed her unconditional love – and now her son is a certified lolo’s boy! Awwww.
Strict Dad Doesn’t Want Daughter to Marry Young
Our parents have certain expectations of us, especially when it comes to going to school and completing our degrees. After all, they work so hard to ensure that we can have a better future.
Kerstin Berico shared that her strict dad didn’t want her to get married early.
Although she had already graduated from her Tourism course, her dad hoped that she could fulfill her dream of becoming a flight attendant.
However, she and her boyfriend of 4 years decided to live together when she found a job as CSR (customer service representative).
This was a huge disappointment to her dad who wanted to see her fulfill her dream of becoming a flight attendant. He had also hoped that she would help send her younger siblings to school.
So, he told her to never set foot in their house if she gets pregnant.
Strict Dad Shows Unconditional Love to Pregnant Daughter
But when she actually got pregnant, he called her and asked her to come home. Although he was disappointed, possibly angry over what had happened, he said that he wants to make sure she was safe throughout her pregnancy.
And he didn’t just stop there. Not only did this dad show unconditional love for his daughter, but he also loved her son, Caleb, and welcomed the young couple into their home.
According to Kerstin, she and her husband now live at her parents’ home and couldn’t leave to be on their own because their son is very close to his grandpa and is a certified “lolo’s boy.”
“Promise ko po sa papa ko na Hindi naman don hihinto ang mundo ko, wala sa plano si caleb pero binigay sya sakin/samin ng diyos isang malaking blessing po yun at yun ang pinakamagandang nagyare sa buhay ko ang dumating si Caleb sa buhay ko,” Kirsten explained.
“Pwede ko pa naman ituloy ang pangarap ko eh, kasama ang anak ko.”
We all agree that most parents wish their kids would become successful first before getting married and having babies, but they’ll also love their children and grandkids unconditionally.
