A day care pupil who was excited for the first day of school ended up in tears after being allegedly locked out of the classroom for being 10 minutes late.
Her mom had to beg the teacher of another class (for younger kids) to let her join so she could at least enjoy her first day of school.
Day Care Pupil Locked Out for Being 10 Minutes Late
It’s not unheard of for college teachers to lock the doors of their classrooms when the last bell rings to teach their students discipline in going to school early for their classes.
But do you think such a rule is applicable for elementary and preschool pupils?
That appears to be what a day care teacher in the province of Cebu thinks. This still unnamed teacher refused to let a student come into the classroom.
According to Ven Rebo Arigo who received the photos from Saramae Alipin (the child’s mother), the young girl had been excited about the first day of school at a day care center in Bolocboloc, Barili, a town in Cebu province.
However, because they were allegedly 10 minutes late, this teacher refused to let the child in.
The child tried her best to knock on the door several times, yet the teacher continued strongly denied her entry.
Day Care Girl Joins Class for 2-Year-Olds
Seeing how sad the little girl felt for missing her first day in school, her mom begged the teacher of another class for younger kids, 2-year-olds, to let her in.
Thankfully, this teacher was more understanding and let the little girl join their class activities.
We sure hope this kid will still return to school, considering how bad her first day of school went.
Many netizens agree that no matter how late students of this age might be for school, their teachers should be more compassionate. After all, kids this age might find it difficult to wake up early for school, especially after spending the past 2+ years just staying at home most of the time…
