A brilliant young woman amazed everyone after becoming a topnotcher in not just one but three board exams! Wow! I barely even passed mine. LOL.
Topnotcher in Three Board Exams
While it’s true that it’s so difficult to pass in the board exams, there are also those who impress us by topping in one. Yet there are also those who pass or even top in two or more!
Let’s take Kathreen Louise Del Rosario as the best example because she didn’t just pass three board exams but also managed to be in the top 10 in all these three exams. Isn’t she incredible?

She got 8th place in the 2016 Civil Engineering board exam.
Then, she ranked in 4th place in the Master Plumber board exam in February 2017.
Lastly, she ranked 5th in the September 2017 Materials Engineer Accreditation Examination.

What an amazing young lady.
Engineering Not Her First Choice
What made her feat even more incredible is that engineering wasn’t even her first choice.
Yet she graduated magna cum laude from Bulacan State University with a degree in civil engineering.
She had always wanted to be a nurse like her mother. Her parents also supported her dream.

Kathreen had passed the entrance test and was enrolled in nursing when they heard the news that many nursing schools closed because of the low demand for nurses at the time.
Worried about her future, she decided to shift her course to her second love, engineering.
“There was no vacant slot that time, but God is good dahil nagawan pa din ng paraan at naisiksik ako sa civil engineering,” she explained.
“Just for the record, that time, wala akong ideya sa kung anong course yung pinasok ko since my mindset back then was focused on BS Nursing.”
Still, she loved her new course. She also went on to study two other branches of engineering so she can have more options to find a job.
Topping the Board Exams
She didn’t aim to be the topnotcher but she was amazed to learn that she was in the top 10 of her civil service board exams.
The next two board exams were more difficult for her to review for, she explained, because she was juggling time with her job. Yet she still managed to top in these tests, too.

She now works primarily as a structural design engineer for Arcadis GEC Manila and as a review instructor for Review Innovations, Inc. on the side.
