A 52-year-old Grab driver recently went viral for going back to school but still continuing his work at night. He earned praise from netizens for his will to learn.
But did you know that he had also gone viral for another reason in previous years?
Grab Driver Goes Back to School
He’s already 52 years old but that didn’t stop Grab driver Benjie Estillore from going back to school.
Just like many other students in the Philippines, he attended the first day of classes last Monday, August 22, 2022 – the first day that schools have reopened for face-to-face learning in the country.

He’s several times older than his classmates, and perhaps even his teachers, but that didn’t deter Tatay Benjie from going to school.
After all, he’s not doing it for others but for himself, because he understands the value of education, he told News5.

He’s now a Grade 12 student, but did you know that he was honored as an achiever when he completed Grade 11?
Supportive netizens praised him for going back to school and becoming an example for others that there really isn’t a limit to what you can achieve if you just try. Plus, just because everyone else achieved things ahead of you, it doesn’t mean you should just give up.

“Salute Tatay, I know you are doing it for your dreams and family! God bless you po!” one netizen wrote.
“It’s never too late. Good luck po!” another commented.
“May this be a driving force to all YOUTH out there, who have not seen the real value of education and what is to be traded, at all, merely to grab education. Salute to this man!” another netizen posted.
Grab Driver Goes Viral for Formal Clothes
Many netizens didn’t know that Tatay Benjie had also gone viral in the past for wearing formal clothes while driving.

He regularly wears a coat and tie, saying that he wants to look presentable so his riders will give him a 5-star rating.
