A young woman recently shared the touching story of how her man waited for her until she reached the legal age of 18 — a love story shared via a few words that went viral and touched thousands of hearts online.

On Twitter, a user named “Cyril” uploaded photos with the person she met when she was only 13 years old. Despite being in love, she shared, the young man promised to wait for her until she reaches the age of 18 — and went to fulfill his promise five years later.

“Met him when I was 13, [he] said he’d wait till I’m 18, and here we are,” read the caption of the photos she posted.

She, on the other hand, admitted that it was not a smooth journey and they actually went through a lot of things before they manage to find their way back to each other now that he can freely and wholeheartedly stay with her.

“It wasn’t a smooth five years. Three years of being ‘best friends’, and two years of not talking and having our own relationships but yeah, we’ve managed to find our way back to each other,” she shared.

A lot of social media users said Cyril is very lucky because not everyone is given the chance to experience such kind of love and care, while others got inspired as they began to believe in love again.
