Jhon Dale went viral on Facebook as netizens shared their praises while seeing photos of him holding his medals while sitting in front of sacks of soil.
These are garden soil which he is selling to be able to earn money to buy a gadget that he will use for the upcoming classes this August.
Aside from garden soil, he also sells self made creatively designed pots; photos of which he posts on his Facebook account. He also mentioned that these pots can be customized based on size, color and design as requested by customers.

Further, Jhon Dale said that he is doing this for livelihood for him and his grandmother’s survival amid the pandemic.
Many netizens applauded his hard work and motivation in doing everything he could in order to pursue his studies and at the same time help his family.
Academia System Global Colleges, one of the schools in Talisay City, Cebu, was one of the many people and organizations who was moved by Jhon Dale’s story. The school gave him a smartphone which he can finally use on his upcoming online classes.

The aforementioned school shared their commendation to Jhon Dale via their Facebook post; saying, “There’s nothing more that inspires us than seeing someone strive so hard to make ends meet.”
