Wendell, who recently tried JM Magalona’s silog, promised the latter that he will help him with his newly started business.

“Brother, h’wag ka mag-alala, palalakasin natin iyan. Masarap ang produkto mo, e. Kung ‘di mo pa gagawin ngayon e kelan pa?” JM quoted what the actor told him; uploading a photo with him on Facebook.

“Dito mas lumakas ang loob ko, e,” he said. “Kuya @wendellramosofficial, maraming salamat ulit for sharing the positivity and for the support! Ang dami kong natutunan. God bless you more, Kuya!”

Due to the COVID-19 threat in the country where social distancing is mandated and social gatherings are prohibited, many people who are working in the events industry have lost their primary source of income and are now struggling to survive the current situation. JM is one of them and in order to survive the crisis, he had to begin from scratch so he decided to start a “silog” business because food production is allowed to operate amid the ongoing community quarantine.

“I am one of those who are greatly affected by COVID-19; not because I’m infected with it, but because of the nature of my work and business. I work in the events industry as a brand ambassador and events–which are considered social gatherings–are not allowed under the enhanced community quarantine/general community quarantine (ECQ/GCQ),” he said in a previous post.

“I need to cope up and adapt to the new normal so I need to do something not just for me but for my family, as well,” he said.

“Creating this “silog” business has always been in my mind. I know that there’s a lot of ‘silog’ businesses out there already and I don’t even know how to compete with them, but I guess I will never know unless I start doing it now. So, I decided to do it from scratch! ‘Ika ka nila, ‘Bahala na si Lord,’” he further expressed.
