All weddings are beautiful. All weddings have their own sweet little surprises. But this one is definitely something a bride and groom wouldn’t expect.
Shane and Rachel McNally’s wedding ceremony mas made more magical when in the middle of the rites, slowly and one by one, a number of guests sang a line of the song “Stand by Me”, a Ben. E. King hit in the 1960s.
The Irish couple couldn’t stop getting emotional as more and more of the audience joined the beautiful serenade including the bride’s father. The group finally gathered in front singing harmoniously as they perfectly blend their voices echoing the four corners of the St Joseph’s Church in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan.
Ahead of their wedding day in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, a friend named Hannah O’ Brien discovered that there will be a lot of singers and musicians in their guest list and so she thought of making this unique surprise for the couple who also loved music.
She asked families and friends from both sides to join her. And so they secretly practiced for five weeks to pull off this meaningful performance.

Even their videographer who has documented a lot of weddings admitted he never saw anything like this.
The couple’s video shared by Joe Santagato on Facebook was liked 193k times and netizens expressed how it made them feel.
“It’s absolutely stunning! How they were singing to the bride and groom such a strong and beautiful song. All the love in the room and that the bride’s father was also involved made it so much more special. Definitely a tear-jerker.”
