“Alempoy”, the well-loved tandem of Alessandra De Rossi and Empoy Marquez, managed to capture our hearts through the film 2017 film Kita Kita. Three years later, the popular love team is set to bring love and laughter again onscreen.

During the recent Viva Vision 2020 event recently, journalists and bloggers were given the chance to be the first ones to see the teasers of Viva Films’ 34 movies for this year. This includes another project for Alempoy, Walang Ka-Paris.
“Empoy Marquez and Alessandra De Rossi spread love and laughter in the most romantic city on the planet. Written and directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, a co-production with Spring film, Walang Ka-Paris,” it was noted, giving a hint that the upcoming film for the tandem will be light and full of love anew.
Kita Kita
Kita Kita tells the story of Lea, a Filipino tour guide in Japan who acquired temporary blindness after getting too stressed over her ex-fiance. She later on met fellow Filipino and charmer Tonyo who befriended her, took care of her, and made her feel special in every way he can. The two eventually fell in love with each other.
The film has grossed P100 million on its first week and P240 million the following week. On a modest budget of P10 million, Kita Kita got a worldwide gross of P320 million; making it the highest-grossing Philippine independent film. And because of this highly acclaimed movie, Alessandra and Empoy — now called “Alempoy” –became a phenomenal love team.

Aside from Walang Ka-Paris, Viva Films is set to release original films such as Vodka, Beers, and Regrets, Devoted, Hindi Tayo Puwede, Rooftop, Untrue, The Other Woman, Mang Jose, among others; as well as the reimagined versions of foreign films A Hard Day, Spellbound, Wedding Dress, Sunny, More Than Blue, etc.
Moreover, with the onslaught of superheroes in the big screen from Marvel and DC, Viva will produce its own superhero films featuring the works of national artist Francisco Conshing and “Komiks King” Carlo Caparas such as Pedro Penduko, Joaquin Bordado, Elias Paniki, Gagambino, Panday, among others.
