A woman who never got the chance to say goodbye to her beloved grandfather somehow found comfort after seeing him on Google Street View.
On Twitter, user @yajairalyb shared a screen recording showing her grandfather’s farm; saying they decided to take a look at the place after finding out that they can finally see it on Google Maps’ Street View. They did not expect to see a familiar person in that farm–someone they truly miss, her late grandfather.
“My grandpa passed away a few years ago. We didn’t get to say goodbye to him,” she wrote on the caption of the video she posted. “Yesterday we found out that Google Maps finally drive through his farm and as we were curious going through it, where the road ends, there is my grandpa, just sitting there.”
The Twitterverse was moved by her story; saying she is lucky enough to get an unexpected “glimpse” of her beloved granddad again and is even blessed as she can “visit” him in his farm through the app whenever she misses him. As of posting, her tweet has gotten more than 60,000 retweets and over 446,000 favorites.
Meanwhile, some Twitter users also shared seeing some of their late relatives, friends, and even pet animals on the app.
