With her extra long hair–that is now touching the ground–and undeniably beautiful face, a 34-year-old woman from Odesa, Ukraine has been dubbed as the “real-life Rapunzel” since she started posting photos online.
Alena Kravchenko, who has not cut her hair since she was five years old, has been showing off her 1.8-meter (which is equivalent to six feet) long hair on Instagram; amazing thousands of social media users who cannot believe how she manages to take care of her extraordinary hair and how she remains gorgeous despite such big responsibility.
For Alena, on the other hand, taking care of her long hair is more of a passion than a responsibility. In an interview with Bored Panda, she shared, “From an early age, my mother instilled a love for long hair.”
And she has kept that love all these years. Now, her hair has already outgrown her height of 5′6″ feet (1.68 meters) and she still has no plan of having her crowning glory cut anytime soon.
“My love for my braid is so strong that for a second in my whole life I did not think about a haircut. I can not see and cannot imagine myself with short hair or dyed in a different color!” she said. “It’s not hard for me with my hair, nor the constant care of them, it’s all a joy because this is part of me—my beauty and wealth!”
