so actress Carla Abellana took time to visit a temporary animal shelter in Lipa, Batangas; joining the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in taking care of a number of animals.
On Instagram, Carla shared a video of her while feeding one of the horses in a shelter where a number of horses had been taken since the recent Taal Volc
ano eruption happened.
“It feels so good to be able to see that these horses are safe, far away from volc
ano island and slowly recovering. There are a total of 48, so far, at the temporary shelter in Lipa, Batangas. The wor st bu rn cases were brought here and it was so p ainful seeing the bur ns all over their faces and bod ies. They’re having a h ard time breathing, as well. They have a long way to go after all the t rauma, but they will get there eventually,” she wrote on the caption of her post.
She said there is nothing more rewarding than being with the b
adly hu rt animals amid such a difficult time and letting them feel that everything is going to be alright.
“I am extremely glad to meet them personally. There’s nothing more rewarding than getting to feed them, talk to them, and touch them to let them feel that it’s gonna be alright. I hope and pray more animals will be evacu
ated from Batangas. Because we don’t want to lose any more precious liv es should Taal Volcano fully erupt,” the actress added.
