Talented Filipina artist Ysabelle Cuevas recently sang the English version of “Ni Yao De Ai”; bringing back memories and making a lot of Meteor Garden fans feel nostalgic.  On her YouTube account, Ysabelle posted the video of her cover.

“Today was clean up your Logic projects kinda day. Here’s a year late cover. Meteor Garden was literally childhood. My cousins had posters of Barbie Hsu on her walls and we would binge watch the whole series on a weekend so when they remade it, it was all kinds of nostalgia,” she shared on the caption of the video she uploaded.

While it is not a direct translation, Ysabelle said she really tried her best to perform an English version of the song for Meteor Garden lovers like her.

“But yeah, here’s a cover of one of my favorites from the series! It is not a direct translation because the translations I found online were a bit confusing. But I tried. haha. Here you go!” she added.

Did you also sing their theme song during those days?

Nostalgic! Here’s the original version of “Ni Yao De Ai” performed by Penny Tai:

And of course, we also fell in love with Michelle Ayalde’s Tagalog version, “Ang Hanap Ko”. It must have been the theme song of couples who were so much in love.

Now, let’s listen to Ysabelle’s English version and see if we can sing with her:

Thank you for this, Ysabelle!
