Just recently, Hollywood actress Emma Stone and her boyfriend of almost two years, Dave McCary, made it to the headlines of different social network platforms.
The two became a hot topic after the news of them getting engaged broke out. Dave posted a photo of them on his Instagram account with Emma showing the engagement ring. Dave did not write any captions, just a two-heart emoji.
The couple first met in 2016 when Emma became a host in one of Saturday Night Live’s episode where Dave is a writer and segment director.
Aside from hosting, Emma also appeared in the episode’s sketch directed by Dave. From 2016, it took almost a year for the public to find out that Emma and Dave were dating.
In October 2017, a source from People magazine reported that Emma and Dave have been quietly dating for the past three months.
Though Emma has never mentioned Dave in any of her interviews, she did say that she is much more interested in settling down as she approached 30 (Emma is now 31 years old).
Eventually, the two were seen together in public confirming that they are dating. Before Dave, Emma first dated her co-star in the movie The Amazing Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield.
While Emma and Andrew never publicly confirmed anything, it was widely believed that the two broke up in October 2015.
