Do you still remember the handsome 1990s matinee idol Onemig Bondoc, who was known for his role in the youth-oriented drama series T.G.I.S. (Thank God It’s Sabado) and its spin-off Growing Up?
Juan Miguel “Onemig” Bondoc was born to businessman Mariano Bondoc, Jr. and Milo Rivera. He, the eldest child, was about to follow the footsteps of his father in the latter’s stock brokerage firm when showbiz came calling.
Onemig, who was discovered by Louie Aguinaldo at the age of 13, made his mark as the youngest lead ever in the popular Close-Up toothpaste advertising campaign.
Moreover, they did a number of commercials inluding TV commercials and print ads for some of the most respectable brands in the market including Jollibee, Ivory Shampoo, Eveready, Del Monte 202, Mister Donut, Ayala Center, and Oishi.
Onemig later became an ABS-CBN talent and was seen in several films and television series of the network; including Ngayong Nandito Ka with Kristine Hermosa.
The actor, however, had to leave the country, and finish high school at Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada.
Now enjoying a lif
e away from the limelight, Onemig is currently a businessman and is the one behind the Couch Potato snack booth. Every once in a while, the former actor does some physical activities and relishes travelling with his loved ones in and out of the country.
