Video of two students helping their physically challenged classmate goes viral, lauded by netizens

A video of two kids assisting and sharing food with their classmate who has cerebral palsy circulated online last June 25.

The children – who were identified as Yuan, Kari, and Hans – are Special Education students from Mabalacat, Pampanga.

Teacher Christine Lopez, from Mouaque Resettlement Elementary School in Mabalacat, Pampanga posted the video on Facebook.

According to inquirer.net, Teacher Lopez has been instructing Yuan and Kari to assist their classmate Hans — who has cerebral palsy whenever there are activities, such as eating or writing.

However, she was surprised that day because the two kids were helping Hans on their own; which compelled her to capture on video the sweet moments.

“That day, they did it even if I have not told them to do so yet. That’s why I felt very happy.”

Moreover, Jocelyn Erlasan, Hans’ mother, noticed that his child is delighted to go to school because of having friends like Yuan and Kari.

“Teacher Tin, thanks po, at sa mga classmates ni Hans, kaya pala gustong gutso n’yang pumasok.”

Netizens were touched by the gesture and are all praises for the two kids. As of posting, the video has over 1.2 million views and nearly 31,000 shares.
