- A policeman assigned in the Caraga Region has surrendered a bundle of cash worth P 20,000 to the headquarters of Police Regional Office 13.
- The cash was found along the highway of Buenavista located in Agusan Del Norte
- The honest cop was also rewarded for his good deed
Patrolman Ferdinand Rambo Aparecio was commended for returning P20,000 worth of cash last June 26 at the headquarters of the Police Regional Office 13.
According to Aperacio, he was on his way home when he found two bundles of cash along the national highway of Brgy. 6 Buenavista, Agusan Del Norte.
Aperacio also tried finding the rightful owner, but to no avail.
“After exhausting my best efforts to identify the rightful owner, I opted to turn over the cash to the headquarters.”
Moreover, Philippine National Police Caraga Director Brigadier General Gilberto Dela Cruz commended the honesty of Aperacio and was rewarded for the policeman’s honesty.
According to the PNP PRO 13’s official Facebook page, “RD Cruz lauded his exemplary action adding that his good deed reflects the discipline and professionalism of the police force in the region.”
Aperacio is a member of Public Safety Field Training Program ‘Magtalas’ class and has been in service for more than three years.
The cash is yet to be claimed at the Regional Public Information Office, Camp Rafael Rodriguez, Butuan City as of posting.
