One of the most-awaited film and television award shows in Hollywood, the MTV Movie and TV Awards 2019 was held last Monday, June 18, at theBarker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
This annual event hosted by cable channel MTV is highly anticipated by movie and TV fanatics around the world.
But it’s not just the fans who are looking forward to seeing their most loved movies, TV series, and stars receive the award’s iconic “golden popcorn” statue; rather, most Entertainment news outlets and paparazzis also await the celebrities’ speeches as well as their latest display of fashion sense.
Avengers fans were the biggest winners as movies “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain Marvel” received the most number of fan votes in four categories.
“Avengers Endgame” won the Best Movie, Best Hero (Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man), and Best Vill
ain (Josh Brolin as Thanos) awards. While Captain Marvel’s f ight with Minn-Erva received the Best Fi ght award for “Captain Marvel” movie.
Aside from the Avengers universe applauding , the Netflix family similarly came home with big smiles on their faces.
Led by the chick flick “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” and the thriller film “Bird Box”, the entertainment subscription service had 14 nominations.
Noah Centineo’s performance as Peter Kavinsky in “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” won him the Br
eakthrough Performance. Also adding to the movie’s big win was him and Lana Condor accepting the Best Kiss award.
More than the picture of on-screen couple receiving the award, Lana delivered an endearing speech that encourages everyone to love whoever they want.
“Kiss who you wanna kiss, love who you wanna love and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
While Lana shared a very young-at-heart message to fans, Sandra Bullock winning the Most Fri
ght ened Performance for “Bird Box” said she knew she had to make the movie because it’s about family.

At the end of the day, these artists are all winners after successfully sharing different amazing stories with their fans through their movies and television series.
