While on their way, the driver received a call from his wife. After listening to his wife, the driver assured her that things are going to be alright. Maria Isabel mostly just the driver’s side of the conversation but it was enough to break her heart…

Grab Driver: Mi, pray ka lang. Bantayan mo yung swero ni baby ha. Pag magalaw nga tayong matatanda, masakit na. Ano pa kaya sa bata diba. Pakatatag ka.

Mi, uuwi pala probinsya si (may binaggit sya name) may ari siguro nung kotse. Limang araw ako walang byahe kaya mag sasideline ako.

Wag kana umiyak. Mamaya maya din uwi na ako.

Those words alone would surely make anyone cry…

The one-sided conversation had stuck on Maria Isabel’s mind so much that by the time they arrived at the mall, she gave the driver Php1,000. The fare was less than Php300 but she gave him the change, saying he can use it for his child.

He cried and told her the baby has been in the hospital for 5 days already due to a hole in the heart. This was certainly heartbreaking news.
