Famous comedian Vice Ganda took a long break from his busy schedule due to his medical condition. Last February, the Its Showtime host underwent a surgery to remove his kidney stones that have been causing him abdominal pain for quite some time.
Fans are now wondering: how well is the comedian now?
Update on His Health
Vice posted a short update on his Twitter Account for his followers who are concerned about his health. He is now praying for his continuous better health.
Just finished ultrasound. Hopefully wala na mga stones sa kidney ko para matanggal na ung stent na nilagay sakin. Ang weird ng may tubo sa katawan.
Rushed to the Hospital
The Unkabogable Phenomenal Star canceled his appearance at a show in Vigan, Ilocos Sur and a weeklong absence on the top-rating noontime show.
His doctor, Dr. Viceral, diagnosed him with a ureteral colic, a condition when a stone from the kidney falls and gets stuck in the tube connecting the kidney to the urinary bladder. Because of this, urine could not pass, resulting in a pressure buildup in the kidney, causing the pain.
Vice had ureteral colic, a condition when a stone from the kidney falls and gets stuck in the tube connecting the kidney to the urinary bladder. Urine could not pass, resulting in a pressure buildup in the kidney, thus the pain.
The first plan for Vice was extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy to fragment the stone in the ureter and using IV contrast to locate the stone. However, even with the IV contrast, the stone remained not targetable so the urologist revised the treatment plan to cystoscopy, insertion of stent.
The famous comedian is still on his way to recovery. After becoming famous, he is juggling work as a judge on the top-rating Pilipinas Got Talent, the late-night talk show Gandang Gabi Vice, and the top rating show Its Showtime.
