Two priests have proven that they too can become full fledged lawyers.
Fr. Romeo Dawaton of the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk in Kalinga and Fr. Efren Bugayong of the Imus diocese passed the recent Bar Examination. They are both chancellors in their dioceses. Bugayong is already a doctor in Canon law.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) proudly congratulated the two priests on their website
Fr. Dawaton and Fe. Bugayong were among the 6,748 aspiring lawyers who took the bar exam last year at the University of Santo Tomas. Only 1,724 examinees passed the 2017 Bar examinations with an average passing rate of 25.54%.
