Teenage Mom-of-Two Proves Bashers Wrong, Posts Graduation Photos

Still 17 years old but already a mother to two boisterous little boys, Joanna Marie Balase Reyes has often become the target of ridicule from neighbors and schoolmates.

She was just 13 years old when she got pregnant; only 14 when she gave birth to her first child, reports Manila Rush. Then, as she was 16, she got pregnant again and gave birth to another little boy when she was 17.

Having two boys to raise was surely a huge challenge for such a young girl but instead of letting her bashers bring her down, she used their hurtful words as a way to encourage herself to strive harder so she could prove them all wrong.

Indeed, she might have made mistakes in her decision-making but she’s proud of her babies and love them with all her heart. Perhaps, if given a chance to go back to the past, she might change it and choose to remain childless but now that she has these kids, they mean the world to her and she wouldn’t exchange them for anything!

She’s been called names and unfairly judged for being a teenage mother-of-two but with her recent graduation from high school, she has proved her bashers wrong. There’s still hope for young moms to finish their studies!

Of course, she still has a long way to go to fulfill her dream of finishing a college education but graduating from high school despite having these two boys is one huge step towards the right direction.

While we strongly discourage teens from having kids at this age because parenting is definitely a huge challenge and responsibility, we express admiration to those who didn’t let this hurdle stop them from living their dreams.

Teens, it’s not the end of the world! If you are experiencing a similar situation, don’t give up; do your best so you can provide a better future for you and your kids. Good luck.
