Parents would only want nothing but the best for their children. This is why there are times when they set high expectations for us. Parents set the goals higher for their children to aim higher for their future.
One of the greatest achievements that parents can ever have is to see their children marching in the middle of the stage during graduation. This special event can be considered as one of the happiest days of their lives.
A Facebook user named Rofherson Canones Suzon shared an emotional video of his surprise announcement for his parents. During their family dinner in a well-known restaurant, Rofherson decided to surprise his parents.
The student handed out a white envelope to his father, saying that it’s his salary. Curious about what is inside the envelope that his son handed, the father opened it and was surprised upon seeing his graduation photos and a certificate proving that his son is included in the list of graduating students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines this coming May.
Did Not Expect It
According to him, his parents had no idea that he would graduate this year. This is because he failed on one subject during the previous semester. Even if he already has a tiring and hectic schedule in school, he was able to add the failed subject on his load this semester, along with ten other subjects.
He also admitted that his last year in school is hard. He barely managed his busy and loaded schedule but at the end, he endured everything to make his parents happy and proud.
Rofherson’s mother was also surprised by her son’s revelation. She tried to control her emotions at first but in the end, cannot help but cry after hearing the good news.
His father also hugged him from the back and kissed him, saying:
Salamat nak. Nakahabol ka.
The said Facebook video became an inspiration not only for students but also to parents who are wishing to see their children graduate. Some cannot help but feel emotional as well, seeing themselves in the shoes of the family.
