If there is one piece of advice older people would share with the people today to experience more joy in life, it is to travel to different places more. Traveling is wonderful in so many ways. It lets life show you what opportunities are waiting for you. It releases all the stress and tension in your life. Going to different places gets you out of your comfort zone and your mind gets more creative.
As amazing as traveling is, most of us would need to wait for many years to finally explore the world. One of the reasons why it’s taking more time to explore the world is because of money. Do you have enough life savings to use? Can your budget last and take you to different places?
Because of budget constraints, a group of cousins decided to save more money to take their dream trip to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. How were they able to make it? You’ll be amazed!
Kits Rodrigo Roque turned to Facebook group PESO SENSE SAVERS to share how she and her other cousins were able to save money for their intended trip in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore a few years back. Instead of asking their parents for pocket money or cashing all their salary to book hotels, they thought of a different idea: to sell accessories online.
They opened an online fashion accessories store in January for their intended August trip. Every weekend, they purchased stocks, took photos of the items, and posted them online. Since there were five of them, they have different roles in the business.
To save more money and to take better photos of the items, they asked their other cousins, neighbors, friends, and churchmates to model for them. The payment? Friendship and discounts.
Because of their perseverance, they were able to pay their hotel bookings, hotel transportation, entrance fees for amusement parks, and food. Knowing how expensive Singapore is, they surely earned a lot! Plus, Kits revealed that there was still some money left after the trip.
Narealize namin, hindi lang ung trip mismo ang naging masaya, kundi ung nakaipon kami at nakapagnegosyo habang ineenjoy namin ung aming ginagawa.
