Not all students are lucky enough to continue with their tertiary education. Some work odd jobs just to sustain their finances in going to college.
Raymond Quintinita struggled his way but has successfully reached his dreams. His story, after going viral on Facebook, touches countless hearts.
Working at a Young Age
At such a young age, he struggled his way just to continue his tertiary education. According to him, his mother is a vendor who would sometimes be captured by the authorities. This never failed to break his heart so he decided to take part and earn money on his own.
His first job started after he finished high school. During vacation, he took a job in a sari-sari store near their house. He was paid P86 a day, including his food and merienda. In six days, he’s earning P516 and he was able to save them.
Struggles as a High School Graduate
He also tried looking for a job with a higher payment but every time he is doing it, managers and owners are just telling him that they will send him a text message. This is when he realized that it’s difficult to find a job if you are just a high school graduate. Despite the difficulties, his faith in God remains intact.
Stepping Towards Success
He proved to people that despite all the struggles that he and his family encountered, he will use it as an inspiration to succeed. Now that he is graduating, he knows that there is a promising future ahead of them. He is now stepping closer to his dream to give his family a better life.
