Sebastian “Baste” Duterte was recently asked to share his thoughts about the relationship of his ex-girlfriend Ellen Adarna and actor John Lloyd Cruz.
In an interview with Pep.ph, Baste reportedly said that what’s important is that Ellen is happy.
“Kung masaya siya, okay na ako doon,” said the presidential son. [If she’s happy, I’m OK with it.]
“Nangyari lang talaga ‘yun. Ewan ko… Alam mo ‘yung buhay, kapag nangyari na, nangyari na,” he added.
[It just happened. I don’t know… you know, life, if it happened, then it happened.]
In the same interview, Baste shared more about himself.
He said that he doesn’t want much attention.
“Ayoko talaga na pinapansin ako. Hayaan n’yo lang ako,” he said. [I really don’t want to be noticed, just leave me be.]
“Aside from me being the president’s son, there’s nothing really special about this… I promote myself on social media to show people that I am this, I am that. They will never get the real me unless they talk to me,” he added.
Baste had a brief relationship with Ellen in 2016.
Ellen revealed earlier that they broke up via text message.
But despite the breakup, Ellen said she considers Baste her best friend.
