A Fil-American boy, who has been begging on the streets, wished to find his American dad.
Johnsy “Tisoy” Melchor is living with his mother and two young siblings in a public park in Angeles City. At 10 years old, Tisoy is now the breadwinner of his family as he begs on the streets.
Tisoy’s story became viral online after a netizen, Docx Zaiclen, posted his photos and videos on Facebook. Zaiclen shared that the young boy is hoping that kind people would help him and his family. Tisoy’s mother, Cynthia, shared with GMA that the boy’s American father left them even before he was born. Her second partner, the father to Tisoy’s two young brothers, also left them.
Cynthia is very much thankful to Tisoy’s perseverance. She said, “Sabi niya sa ‘kin, ‘Mama, gagawin ko lahat para hindi tayo magutom.”[He told me, Mama, I will do everything so we won’t go hungry.]
Now, Cynthia hopes that Tisoy will be able to find and meet his American father. “Gusto ko pong mahanap, sir para po matulungan ‘yung anak ko,” she added. [I hope we find him so he can help my child.] Several kind-hearted peoples have extended their help to Tisoy’s family.
