First Step to Acceptance

Last March 6, the singer-actress took a lot of courage to reveal on her blog that they lost one of their twins, their baby girl, on February 8. She announced the sad news on the same day of her father’s 9th ***** anniversary. On the other hand, the couple’s baby boy had to remain in the neonatal intensive care unit to recover from the surgery after birth. The new parents are hoping that they will be able to bring the baby home by the end of March.

According to the new mom, posting about her daughter’s ***** is the very first step she had to take for acceptance. She believes that the baby girl gave up her life for her mom and twin brother.

After two months since the babies were born, Saab found a new way to honor her baby daughter: by donating milk.

I’m so happy I was able to donate 100 bags of breast milk to the Human Milk Bank today. Bittersweet that my body seems to be producing enough for twins, but it really makes me happy thinking of the babies that will get stronger because of my “liquid gold.”

Way of Giving Back

Saab said that this is her own way of giving back.

Just counting my blessings and trying to do what I can to show my gratitude. Helping others really helps me heal.

She also added that she’s using social media to create awareness on the need for breast milk donations after another user (in a now-deleted Instagram account) began questioning her post.

The Philippine Human Milk Bank is accepting donations via milk banks across the country. For mothers who wish to donate their excess breast milk, you can visit their website for guidelines on how to donate.
