A poor kid who went from one shop to another, asking for help in fixing his beat-up old bike, finds good fortune in a shop whose kindhearted owner gave him a new one!
Bike enthusiast Romeo Sacrez narrated in a Facebook post how the boy had arrived at their shop, asking for help in fixing the bearing of his bike as the rear wheel no longer moves. Romeo and his friend at the shop were shocked at the condition of the bike; so, they decided to fix the bearing for free, knowing the kid probably doesn’t have any money even to pay for the service, let alone buy the parts.
The dilapidated bike had a broken seat that was surely difficult for the boy to sit on; thus, Romeo and his friend got him an extra seat which they put there for free.
But they were stumped at the handlebars. It was broken, with half being a welded steel bar. The rest of the bike was also so old that it was in danger of falling apart – and that would be too dangerous for the kid who uses the bike for school and to run errands.
While trying to determine how they can change the handlebars since they no longer have stock that would fit the kid’s old bike, their boss arrived. The latter told them to give the boy handlebars for free, if they could find one that fits his bike.
But a short while later, the boss came back and instructed Romeo to give the kid a new bike! They laughed, thinking the boss was joking but it turned out he was serious! Cool.
They got a new stock and assembled it as the surprised kid looked on. The boy couldn’t believe his good fortune because the other bike shops had turned him down when he asked help to fix the bearing yet this shop gave him a new bike, instead! Isn’t that wonderful?
