For most women, having their dream wedding with their dream guy is like a dream come true. However, preparing for a wedding also requires time, patience, and money. From finding the best wedding supplier to the event host, the bride usually takes a lot of time to have a perfect event not only for her and the groom but also for everyone who will attend the wedding.
When we talk about weddings, one of the most anticipated parts of this event is to see the bride’s wedding gown. Brides are very meticulous when choosing their wedding gowns and the designers who will make them.
However, a bride learned her lesson the hard way when she, unfortunately, choose the wrong person to make her gown.
Expectation VS Reality
A netizen named Mhayo B. Arguelles turn to Facebook to share her horrible experience with her gown maker. According to her, she paid PHP 30,000 for her wedding gown, thinking that the price is right for her to get a dress that she is dreaming of.
The first fitting started November 2017 and the next one happened last January. She did not feel suspicious even if the gown is still not finished.
She also asked the same designer to make the clothes for her Groomsmen. She was charged PHP1,500 each, even if there are a lot of mistakes in the clothes. At first, she liked everything that the designer made but when the Groomsmen fit them, they saw a lot of errors.
The bride also started to find it suspicious that the designer delivered the pieces a day before the wedding date.
Saved by the Bell
Arguelles was supposed to have the dresses of her Bridesmaids made by the same designer. But after hearing that the charge is PHP2,500 per head, she canceled the request so the designer will just focus on her gown.
Come February 13, the designer delivered her wedding gown, even if her wedding date is the day after. Upon seeing it, she was devastated. Everyone who saw the dress was surprised too.
Haaaaa! ito yung wedding gown? ANG PANGET! halos lahat ng tao na kasama ko iisa sinasabi.
What made the bride angrier is that the veil looks like a mosquito net. When she asked the gown maker, he said that a veil with design has an extra charge and he only gave the veil to her for free.
Her Maid of Honor saved her by looking for another gown that she can use on her wedding date.
After the wedding, the designer is asking her for her balance of PHP8,000, even if the quality of the dress itself is not what they talked about. Netizens were angered upon seeing the dress.
