For Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, there’s nothing more rewarding than being parents to their only child, Zia. Marian said she fell in love with motherhood while Dingdong promised to protect Marian and Zia at all times.
In an interview with YES! magazine in their house in Makati, Dingdong and Marian shared their joys, challenges, and journey in raising their daughter, Maria Letizia. Marian then said she doesn’t care about her haters as she enjoys being a mother to Zia.
“Kebs ko sa mga haters na palagi akong pinipintasan na matured na daw ako, gurang na daw ako, lawlaw suso ko. I don’t care, ’day!”
“Malaking factor talaga na hands-on talaga ako. Buhos kaming dalawa ni Dong para kay Zia.”
Marian proudly shared that she attends personally to Zia’s needs and monitors her milestones and development each day. She also believed that Zia won’t be able to develop progressively if she wasn’t beside her aside from Zia’s yaya.
“Kasi kung yaya lang, parang feeling ko, hindi magiging ganyan ang development niya.”
“So happy ako na nabigyan ko siya ng time.”
“Hindi matatawaran ’yong personalidad ng anak ko, ’yong pagiging smart niya.”
On the other hand, Dingdong considered being a father as the best job in the world. He claimed that taking care of his family and protecting them at all times is his utmost concern.
Both Marian and Dingdong were looking forward to having more children in the future. Marian who is an only child wanted to have four more children. She also shared that having more kids was one of their plans by the time they got married.
Meanwhile, Marian had plans of taking a break from showbiz after GMA 7’s fantasy series “Super Ma’am” ends. She claimed it’s about time that she looks after herself because she was deprived of having enough time to sleep and rest all throughout her showbiz career. That will also prepare her to be physically fit and healthy for their future children.
“Siyempre, kailangan ko ring alagaan ’yong sarili ko para maging healthy pa ako. Lalo kasi, pag pagod ako, stressed ako, wala akong tulog, pa’no makakabuo, di ba?”
Zia just celebrated her first birthday on November 23, 2017. Baby Zia yearns to have a baby brother.
