Those who spend at least Dh400 (Php5,600) in any of the mall’s fashion outlets also get the chance to win a trip for two to various destinations, including Sri Lanka and India.
Catangay had not been keen on winning the prize but entered the raffle nonetheless; then, he just forgot about it. So, when he received the phone call that he won the grand prize at the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) extravaganza, he first thought that he was getting pranked by his friends.
But he would soon become ecstatic upon learning he had actually won the gold bar.
Catangay who works as general technician in Ras Al Khaimah has 3 children back in the Philippines. He has been working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for two years now.
