Poverty is a major problem in the Philippines but there are many ladies who ‘hit the jackpot’ by marrying foreigners who might no longer hold jobs because they are old but have pensions whose values are high and have better spending power due to the conversion rate in the country.
While it is unfair to judge ladies who choose to marry foreigners for financial gain because this might be the only way they see that could alleviate their family’s poverty, it is sad that there are also women who leave their husband and kids for a ‘better’ life with a foreigner.
Traffic enforcer Felixberto Tabago Jr. went to the program of Raffy Tulfo to seek help as he tries to bring his wife, Ma. Christina Balaro Tabago, back home.

According to Felixberto, his wife had left him for a 56-year-old American man but their children are hoping they could still fix things so they can be together again as a family.
When Tulfo called Christina, she did not deny that she left her husband for a foreigner but despite her children’s pleas, she was non-committal when asked whether she would come back home. The veteran broadcaster also reminded the woman that her husband could file a case against her because they are, after all, legally married.
When it was soon apparent that the woman would never return even with Tulfo’s intervention, Felixberto told her that he still loves her but that he hopes she will be happy with the life she’s chosen now. It was the mark of true love but the woman was indifferent.

The broadcaster advised the husband to just let this pass for now as his wife might have been tired of being poor. To console the family, Felixberto was given a makeover and was fitted with dentures. Then, they were brought to Enchanted Kingdom where the kids had a great time! They were also provided some financial assistance.
