The Philippines has produced its fair share of beauty queens, having won a lot of crowns in the many international beauty pageants held every year, including in all the ‘Big 4’ pageants, namely Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth.
But the beauty titles won by Filipinas are not just limited for young ladies but also to older women (such as Grandma Universe), children (Princess of the World), and even dolls (Miss Beauty Doll)!
Recently, another Filipina has taken home the crown, this time as “Princess of the World 2017”.
Shirleena Joice Espinosa is just 10 years old but it seems that she’s on her way to greatness, proving to the world that she has the beauty and brains to win this prestigious beauty pageant for young ladies.
Representing the Philippines, Shirleena won the hearts of the judges and the audience with stellar performances even during the preliminaries for the pageant which was held in Pomorie, Bulgaria last June 29, 2017.
This young lady hails from Olongapo City where she currently studies as a Grade 5 pupil at Cabalan Christian School.
During the preliminaries, Shirleena won gold in both the vocals and the modeling categories. She reportedly received standing ovation from the judges and the audience during the talent portion.
With huge points to her favor and being the crowd favorite, it was easy to predict that this young lady would win the crown. Indeed, Shirleena was declared as the super grand prize winner, winning the title as the Princess of the World 2017!
Congratulations, Shirleena! We can’t wait to see you win the crown for the Big 4 in the coming years…
