Bogabil Bhady Noemie, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) working as a domestic helper in Kuwait, posted a video on social media as she seeks assistance in making her return to the Philippines possible. She was suffering from swollen hands due to severe allergy which worsens each day, making it difficult for her to perform her duties.

According to her, she acquired the allergy through the use of strong detergents in cleaning her employer’s house. She tried to ask permission from her employer to let her go home to the Philippines but her request was declined.
Bogabil also tried to ask for help from her agency, OWWA and Philippine Embassy but all of them failed her. She was instead given an advice to leave her employer which she was afraid to do and would be impossible as her passport was under her employer’s care.

Despite her condition, Bogabil continued working even if the pain was becoming unbearable because the wounds were never healed. In fact, she said she was suffering from it for a year already. She was advised by the doctor from refraining to wet her hands which will not be possible as she was obliged to do her usual work including the use of detergents by her employer.
As of this writing, Bogabil’s request has been aired but she still awaits for someone to offer help. Her recent Facebook post stated that her male employer was asking her to go out then afterwards be allowed to go home, which she feared for she doesn’t know what her employer is up to.
