Graduating cum laude from the University of the Philippines (UP) is certainly a great achievement for young star Myrtle Sarrosa but her victory was made all the more sweeter by the fact that she nearly failed in elementary!
According to the former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition winner who hails from Iloilo, she was not an achiever in school. Unlike her siblings who were honor students, she nearly failed in her studies back in her elementary days.
Because she was also bullied, she didn’t want to go to school. This lack of desire to go to school affected her so much that her teacher would soon inform her parents she was failing in her studies, something that became an eye-opener for the young student.
Myrtle got right back on track and was able to graduate from elementary.
