BEAUTY AND BRAINS: Girl Goes Viral for Getting Over 200 Medals from Academic Awards and Beauty Competitions

Bagging over 200 medals from academic awards and beauty competitions, it is easy to say that 16-year-old April Christelle T. De Leon of Lingayen, Pangasinan is the perfect example of ‘beauty and brains’.

She wrote on Facebook, sharing photos of her medals, “These memories will forever be treasured and will always be with me wherever I go. Goodbye Lingayen, Pangasinan.” It turned out that April and her family will be migrating to Chicago, Illinois and the teen won’t be able to bring these treasures with her.

The multi-awarded young student has represented her schools, Lingayen I Central School and Pangasinan National, in various competitions both locally and in national levels.

She was also the first in her class since Grade 1, graduating valedictorian in Grade 6. Then, she received the highest honors in junior high school, having been the only to achieve an average grade of over 98%.

Yet April is not just a brainy girl, she’s also a regal beauty. She was awarded as Miss Earth, Miss United Nations, Miss A1, and Lakambini ng Wika in their school!

This girl is certainly awesome!
