Priests, nuns, pastors, and other religious entities always preach about helping the poor and those in need, feeding the hungry, helping the sick, etc. Most will also tell you that contraceptives and other modern methods of family planning are bad, even ‘evil’, because life is precious and that every person deserves to be born – and we’re not talking about abortion here but the conception of the child.
That’s already a given – yet do they always practice what they preach?
Well, the contraception thing is irrelevant to most of them because they have made the vow of chastity and don’t get married or have relationships. As for the feeding the poor, helping the sick, etc., many are doing that but considering the huge number of homeless people and kids living in the streets, sadly, they can only do as much.
There’s this poignant photo of a group of street kids sleeping on the foreground while a group of nuns pass by.

It is not right to judge the nuns based on this photo alone because they have surely helped the poor and the needy but the striking contrast between them and these street kids has gotten the attention of netizens.
“There goes those people who are against family planning and contraceptives. Mind if I make a suggestion? Donate the money that you ask from church people and give it to them,” a netizen commented.
Others were more passionate.
“Let’s play the blame game.
–Kasalanan nila Sister, madre sila! Di man lang nilingunan!! And etc.
So with all the blames, did we manage to held these people? Yes? No! So instead of blaming why not start helping in your own little ways. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, yes.
There’s too much hate in this world already. Wag na kayong magambag,” wrote another.
But others think the nuns were unfairly judged.
But many think the religious ones should change their views…
