To Fulfill Their Plan of Tying the Knot this Year, Sweethearts Killed in Accident will be ‘Married’ Before They are Buried

Roy Saballero and Jocelle Demapula of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental in central Philippines were planning to get married this year but their plans have been put on hold – forever! – after an accident claimed both of their lives…

Last Saturday, March 11, the two were killed after a car rammed in the tricycle they were riding. The authorities are still investigating the incident but witnesses said the car being driven by a certain Renz John Reyes slammed into the tricycle carrying the sweethearts.

While Reyes survived the accident, Saballero and Demapula died along with the tricycle driver, Elmer Lumangyao. The tricycles other passengers were also injured but are already in stable condition. The injured passengers were identified as Andrian Mandawe, Stephen Basoy, Elmer dela Torre, and James Siason.

According to Saballero’s mother, Alma Saballero, the two were planning to get married this year; however, when the couple died just a couple of minutes apart, their respective families decided that they should get on with the ‘marriage ceremony’ despite the fact that the two were already dead.

So, before Saballero and Demapula are buried this coming Sunday, a ceremony similar to that of a real marriage will be performed as the family hoped that by fulfilling the couple’s dream of getting married, they would be at peace despite their untimely deaths…
