A street kid whose life could be doomed forever, Jommy Arieta found a ray of sunshine when the cops at Boston Police Station in Boston, Davao Oriental adopted him and let him live at the station where he shares their food and gets a place to rest.
Jommy got a second lease at life and took it eagerly as he lived under the policemen’s guidance. The young lad helps around at the station while the cops send him to school, chipping in to buy his uniform and pay for his projects.
Like real dads and moms to their ‘adopted’ child, the cops also help him with his assignments and did everything they could to make him feel at home at the police station.

As Jommy graduates, it was but right that the cops would also be the ones to award him his medal at school. It was off-duty PO2 Eric Silagan who acted as Jommy’s “dad” at his graduation, with the cop wearing his uniform.
It is amazing that these cops have come together to help this young man. We are hoping the young lad would continue pursuing his dreams and become a model cop one day, just like the policemen who helped him in his time of need…
