When a photographer spotted a gorgeous Badjao girl during a town festival, he took photos that would soon go viral on social media. The girl was identified as Rita Gabiola – and she would gain fame as the ‘Badjao Girl’ and would even receive some modeling contracts as well as a short stint inside Pinoy Big Brother’s house.
But while Rita’s star has since waned, there’s a new kid in town who is set to take her crown as the beautiful ‘Badjao Girl’.
The charming kid’s newfound fame started when a secondary school teacher Demi Nathanel Torres Calumba shared photos of the Badjao Girl from Guihulngan, a town in Negros Oriental, central Philippines.
Calumba’s photos were quickly picked up by several popular Facebook pages where it went viral!
The child’s name is Rizza Mae Vergara, the daughter of one of Calumba’s students. The pretty girl gained social media attention, with a lot of netizens commenting that this girl certainly has a bright future in the pageant industry or might even land a modeling/commercial contract because of her natural beauty.
