Filipinos love to cheer on fellow Pinoys, especially if they join in international competitions – that’s why the Filipino community was excited to have two half-Pinays in the Season 12 of “The Voice”, an American reality television singing competition broadcast on NBC.
Anatalia Villaranda wowed all four coaches during the blind auditions, turning all four chairs!

And it seems that the young star is not finished impressing the coaches because she wowed everyone with an energetic performance in the ‘Battle Rounds’. Paired with Missy Robertson, Anatalia sang “Tightrope” with so much energy that the coaches would all comment on her being a ‘blur’ on the stage with her commanding performance.

Small as she is, the coaches also joked about her being a wind-up doll. She was also called the “Little Firecracker”, a moniker that would probably stick as she continues to shine in the show.
At the end of the performance and with some help from the other coaches, Alicia Keys picked Anatalia as the winner in the battle round.

Isn’t she amazing? For winning the battle round, Anatalia advances to the Knockouts where she will be paired with another artist. If she wins that, then she will be off to the Live Shows! We’re definitely excited!
