She might be just 16 years old but Anatalia Villaranda has such a powerful voice and awesome talent that she turned all four chairs on the premier episode of the blind auditions!
Born in San Diego, California and now residing in Temecula, California, the teen proudly shares her Filipino roots – as seen on her website. For her blind audition, Anatalia also picked a song by Fil-Am Bruno Mars, “Runaway Baby”.
The performance started great; although the coaches were probably unsure whether they can handle this bundle of energy because it took them over a minute into the performance before turning.

The first to turn were Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys but Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani followed suit towards the end of Anatalia’s energetic performance.
Her family were enthusiastic as they jumped and screamed when the coaches turned their chairs. Blake was so amused by Anatalia’s family that he just had to ask them to join her on stage – the first thing that happened this season.
While Anatalia wasn’t the only one to turn four chairs during the premiere episode, it is interesting to note that she’s actually one of the youngest to have made it to the cut on that day’s episode; the other one is 14-year-old Brennley Brown while the other 4-chair turner was 29-year-old JChosen.
Naturally, all the coaches fought hard to get her on their team but it was Alicia who eventually won Anatalia’s heart.
