As the low pressure area and other weather systems brought buckets of rain to many parts of the Philippines, several places suffered flashfloods and landslides which left thousands of people stranded away from their homes.
Many establishments and schools were also affected, with people needing to walk in waist-deep or even chest-deep waters just to get back home.
Many stories of heroism, hope, and love were shared on social media as the floods continued to affect many residents but there’s a touching love story that had gotten the attention of the people on social media.
In a post by netizen Clydie Summer, a guy could be seen helping a girl stay dry amid the flooding in what appears to be a school. There were armchairs around that the guy used to create a makeshift bridge for the girl to walk on.
When he ran out of armchairs, the chivalrous guy took the girl on a piggyback ride and brought her to the nearest dry spot which was not within the reach of Summer’s camera.
Touched upon witnessing the moment, Summer wrote,
