A seaman and his mistress were caught inside a motel in Lapu Lapu City, Cebu in central Philippines yesterday, December 5, 2016 – and a photo of them handcuffed together and walking towards the police car was splashed on SunStar Cebu’s Facebook page.
According to SunStar Cebu, the two were caught doing an intimate act after the seaman’s wife filed a complaint at the police station and led the cops to the said motel.
But netizens were torn over the incident, with many saying that the private lives of private citizens shouldn’t be placed on the news because this is not a matter of public interest! There are many, however, who believe that this should still be part of the news to serve as lesson to others not to cheat on their respective spouses – and for the aggrieved spouse to take action.
Many believed, however, that the wife should have just let the two have a go at their relationship so that her husband would still give her allotment and money for the kids – but others were against the idea because they think that cheating is a sin and the husband should pay for it, even if that meant he will be jailed for his actions!
A lot of netizens think that these two deserved to be shamed for their shameful actions — although their names and photos weren’t actually fully released to the public, just this photo and both are covered in towels here…
