A working student from Malabon University is taking the social media by storm because of her uncanny resemblance to Hollywood actress Chloe Grace Moretz.
In fact, the actress herself took notice of the Filipina that she tweeted several times her excitement over her supposed doppleganger.
The Filipina girl has been identified as Edcell Ched, a university student who works at Jollibee.
A netizen named Jesse Carls first shared Ched’s photo on Facebook after she chanced upon her at a Jollibee branch in Navotas last November 30. She captioned the photo: “Didnt know sa Jollibee Navotas pala nagwowork si Chloe Grace.” [Didn’t know Chloe Grace (Moretz) is working at Jollibee Navotas]
Carls’ post went viral and Ched has since become an internet sensation after Facebook users took interest in her and search for her profile.
She even got featured on BuzzFeed’s article “People Are Losing Their Minds Over This Chloë Grace Moretz Doppelgänger”.
Moretz, known for starring in Hollywood films such as The Amityville Horror, Kick Ass, Carrie and The 5th Wave, among others, also joined in the fray and gamely tweeted: “WHOAAAA we do look very like.”’
She repeated her tweet at least two times more.
Meanwhile, Ched’s photo in Jollibee uniform has been shared more than 3,000 times with over 5,000 comments and 40,000 like on Facebook.
She has also been featured in several other websites and magazines including Cosmopolitan Philippines, FHM, GMA News and Inquirer.
