The owner of the lost wallet containing cash and bank documents including an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) Card that has over P500-thousand balance, must have heaved a sigh of relief after an honest bus driver returned it to him.
On Thursday morning, December 8, AB Liner bus driver Herbert Umali was doing his daily route when he found the wallet inside the bus.
As per GMA News Online, the wallet that Umali found contained P2,500 in cash and other important documents, including the ATM card and a piece of paper where the personal identification number (PIN) was written. Also found in the wallet was the owner’s recent ATM transaction receipt indicating the bank account has a balance of more than P500 thousand.
Other men with weak character might have given in to temptation of getting the money for themselves, but not Umali. The honest bus driver reported and turned his find over to his manager.
The wallet’s owner, who is a resident of Mulanay, Quezon Province, was contacted by Umali through a calling card found inside the wallet.
