Time and again, a lot of people prove to us that poverty is and should never be a hindrance to success. Take for example Shannara Mica Guira Tamayao from Laoag City, Ilocos Norte who landed in the 10th place of the recently held nursing board exams.
Her family might be poor but this did not hinder her from finishing her studies and passing the board exams with flying colors!
According to her parents, Shannara has been a consistent honor student since her elementary years. But they were truly ecstatic after she ranked tenth place in the nursing board exams!
This would surely help Shannara reach her dreams of helping the family out of poverty; though she hopes to finish a Master’s Degree and take the National Council Licensure exam before applying for a job as these would give her a better chance at landing a better paying job.
