Thousands of teachers in the Philippines have to deal with various difficulties just to reach their teaching assignments – they literally have to climb mountains and cross rivers to do it!
In a segment on “State of the Nation with Jessica Soho”, a teacher was praised for her dedication towards her students despite having to cross a river while riding a carabao sled.
According to the report, the photo was taken in Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental. Although the teacher was not identified by name, she made waves on social media for her dedication. Her story also shows the plight of many teachers who really had to sacrifice their time and their lives just to provide education to the children in hinter barangays!
